Through analysis of existing regulations, examples of codes and ordinances from other municipalities that have worked, and consultation with the public and community stakeholders, the City is seeking innovative sign regulations that are reflective of modern practices, new technologies, approaches, are consistent with recent and relevant court cases, are clear and easy to understand and administer, and reflect changes and needs of the community regarding signage. It is anticipated that the final product of the effort will be zoning text amendments that amend the sign regulations found in various sections of the City of Cleveland Heights Codified Ordinances, particularly Chapter 1163.
