The purpose of this position is to presents findings of planning and zoning projects at public meetings and hearings. Analyzes land use, demographic and economic information researched from maps and published sources. Prepares maps, recommendations and comprehensive reports on alternative strategies, impact of land use changes, and multi-modal transportation projects. Investigates and inspects properties, site plans, and study areas to identify planning issues and to assess potential solutions. Serves as project manager for zoning and subdivision proposals in a multi-agency review process. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
