City of Murfreesboro is looking for a visionary and results-oriented principal planner for the nation's 10th fastest growing city! The mid-level position of Principal Planner requires an individual who is capable of exercising independent judgment.  The purpose of this class within the organization is to plan for the orderly growth of the City, administer the City's zoning ordinances, and establish and implement land use policies. This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.  The employee will be under the administrative supervision of the Planning Director.
