The Green River Area Development District (GRADD), a multi-jurisdictional planning and development agency, has an opening for the following position: Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Coordinator.
GRADD is seeking a dynamic individual to develop and maintain a variety of transportation plans, programs, and designs within the Owensboro-Daviess Metropolitan Planning Organization. Duties also include overseeing the Owensboro-Daviess County Metropolitan Transportation (MPO) committees and serving as a liaison to state and federal transportation agencies. The preferred candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Political Science, with emphasis in transportation or related field; and at least three years’ related experience. A Master's Degree in one of the above fields will substitute for two years’ of experience. Excellent organizational, written, oral communication and public relations skills are required.
