The Hardin County Planning and Development Commission is accepting
applications from individuals for the position of a Contract Electrical Inspector.  Applicants must be currently certified by the State of Kentucky to perform both residential and commercial inspections. The areas of jurisdictions are for the unincorporated Hardin County & Larue County and the cities of West Point, Vine Grove, Sonora, Upton & Hodgenville. This is an independent contract position without benefits. Individuals hired must provide Workman’s Compensation, Liability Insurance, and Professional / Errors and Omissions Insurance. Must have the desire to work with citizens and electrical contractors and possess the ability to explain regulations and codes. Must provide and maintain reliable transportation, cell phone and all necessary inspection materials. Applicant must maintain some set office hours within our office in Elizabethtown, KY and will be responsible for entering inspection data into our Iworq software computer system.

​The Boone County Planning Commission is interested in filling a Planner position.  Boone County, Kentucky is part of the Cincinnati MSA. It is the leader in population and job growth in Northern Kentucky and the home to the CVG Airport. The community has a diverse economic base of industrial, retail, medical, office, tourism and recreation. The Barren River Area Development District is a multi-jurisdictional planning and development agency which serves the BRADD area, ten county region. This position aids local governments within the region to enable economic and community growth; assists in obtaining funding for projects; provides project assistance to ensure compliance with funding agencies. Responsibilities include project profiles in statewide database, maintenance of resource information, assistance with broadband expansion and other infrastructure development. The position supports the Barren River Water Management Council and aids individual utilities with project planning and development.  As well as works closely with KIA (KY Infrastructure Authority), local elected officials, and other state agencies. Required: A Bachelors degree in a related field. Experience with state and federal programs is desired.
