The Green River Area Development District, a multi-jurisdictional planning and development agency, has an opening for the following full-time position, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLANNER.
Seeking a motivated individual to develop and administer a variety of Community & Economic Development Projects on behalf of local and regional entities. Responsibilities shall include (but will not be limited to) the development and administration of federally and state funded projects, the creation and implementation of strategic plans as well as long-range plans, and the completion of grant applications for funds needed to address community concerns. Position requires Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Political Science, Regional & Urban Planning, or related field. Two years of related experience preferred. Must be able to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff, public officials, and general public on a regular basis. Applicant must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Grant writing experience is preferred.
