ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises engineering projects, survey or field operations and activities Exercises supervision over subordinate personnel Examples of Duties UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION Enforces safety procedures to insure safe operation of equipment and employee safety Prepares and submits cost estimates including equipment, materials, time and number of employees Conducts on-site inspections to review and inspect the progress or completion of projects, to determine equipment and materials, to discuss work assignments and problems, and to investigate and resolve complaints Supervises the engineering function of construction projects Reviews and assigns engineering projects, surveys and field investigations, and approves construction and site plans for compliance to engineering standards Attends meetings and provides information on engineering projects Prepares and negotiates engineering construction contracts DEVELOP LOUISVILLE Reviews preliminary development plans and subdivision plans for compliance with local, state and federal regulations Reviews and approves construction plans for compliance with design standards and approved development plans, including issuing encroachment permits and setting and tracking bonds Determines scope of traffic impact studies, and reviews traffic impact studies related to development proposals Attends meetings and provides information on traffic and transportation issues related to development proposals Conducts site visits Evaluates policies and procedures and identifies improvements Performs related work https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/louisvilleky/jobs/1923841/engineer-supvsr?page=3&pagetype=jobOpportunitiesJobs Comments are closed.
