Job highlights

• Administer and enforce the Franklin County Zoning Ordinances and Subdivision Regulations.
• Supervise the Planning staff and Building and Electrical Inspectors.
• Prepare and administer departmental budget.
• Prepare map and text amendments as well as staff reports for zone changes.
• Prepare ordinances for changes to be presented to Fiscal Court.
• Review requests for variances and conditional use permits.
• Coordinate issues related to the flood plain.
• Attend Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Sub-Committee meetings. 
• A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning or a closely related field AND Five (5) or more years of related experience required; two (2) of which must be in a supervisory or management role.  *An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.
