The Bourbon County Joint Planning Office is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Planning Technician. This person will serve as the first point of contact for the Planning Office, from answering phones to welcoming visitors. Responsibilities will include educating customers about application requirements, conducting preliminary technical review of applications, coordinating meetings and taking meeting minutes, and assisting with the development of streamlined paperless approaches to the Planning Office's work programs. Minimum qualifications are an Associate's degree in a related field (geography, information systems/technology, planning, engineering) supplemented by two years of experience working in a planning-related role. Desired qualifications are a familiarity and experience with computer mapping programs and website maintenance.
