The Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission (CMCRPC) is an independent government body established in 1963 by local legislation. A fulltime planning staff employed by the CMCRPC processes and reviews requests for zoning changes, subdivision, design overlay and site plan review, and transportation planning within Clarksville and Montgomery County, Tennessee. Also, the CMCRPC is responsible for carrying out the City and County's short and long-range planning activities.
JOB SUMMARY: The Long Range Special Projects Planner works under limited supervision of the Director of Planning, and occasionally the Deputy Director of Planning, to perform professional and technical work on long range local and regional planning. May direct and/or assist in the collection of data for use in various planning studies, projects, or documents. Performs tasks involved in scoping, designing, researching, and carrying to fruition planning or policy related work as assigned. Leads or assists with various plan updates, annexation requests, and helps staff, elected officials, and the public to be better informed on planning-related topics.
