The City-County Planning Commission of Warren County, located in the third largest city in Kentucky and one of the fastest growing communities in Kentucky, is now accepting resumes for the position of Planner I. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team that helps guide growth and develop plans for the future of our dynamic community. The individual selected for this position should have a general knowledge of planning principles, processes and issues, and the ability to learn local government procedures. Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, architecture, engineering, social sciences or related field. Experience: No professional planning experience is required. One year of experience and/or completion of an internship in planning or a related field at a public agency is preferred. Excellent organization, written and oral communication, and public relation skills are required. A valid driver’s license is required. Starting Salary: $45,000 annually. Benefits: Pre-paid employee health and dental premiums, state retirement plan, twelve paid holidays, (PTO) paid time off.
