Somerset is a city of approximately 15 square miles. It is the county seat of Pulaski County and is located approximately 75 miles due south of Lexington and 35 miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee Border.  Somerset in the county seat of Pulaski County.    Somerset has 2020 census population of just under 12,000 people. The city has had a simple zoning and land use regulation under KRS 100 for decades.  The last major zoning ordinance update being in 2000.
