Urban Planner, Louisville Office of Advanced Planning

The Office of Advanced Planning envisions, designs, and implements long-range planning solutions to create a vibrant sense of place where people want to live, work and innovate. The strategic initiatives carried out by Advanced Planning are designed to empower neighborhoods, increase transportation access, remediate contaminated post-industrial sites, and tell the story of Louisville and its people through public art. The Office specializes in community and cross-department engagement to plan for growth, development, and investment across Louisville.

Advanced Planning is tasked with leading several key, county-wide initiatives, namely: Vision Louisville, a broad, big picture, big idea plan for the city; Move Louisville, a 20-year multi-modal transportation plan to enhancing access and mobility in our community and Plan 2040, Louisville’s recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. Advanced Planning is part of Louisville Forward which is an integrated approach to economic and community development in Louisville, KY.
